EHO CONSULTANCY ROLE
Role responsibilities:
- Complete licence applications as per the Housing Act 2004
- Provide consultancy to our clients (booked with you automatically through the calendar that you control)
- Complete Local Area Compliance Checks (we create a great a report for the most likely outcome of going through licensing)
- Content writing
- Give a good client experience and be customer focused
- Working remotely
To be considered for this post you must:
- Be qualified Environmental Health Officer with a certificate of registration issued by CIEH/EHRB
- Have experience working in housing within a local authority
- Have a detailed understanding of the Housing Act 2004, HMOs, property licensing and enforcement in England and Wales
- Be trained on HHSRS - be able to demonstrate you can identify and assess hazards and recommend appropriate remedial action.
- Be an excellent communicator (verbal and written) and have the ability to explain complex and technical issues accurately and clearly to clients
- Have previous experience submitting licence applications to the local authorities
- Have a keen eye for detail and accuracy
- Be proficient in prioritising, managing your own time and working to deadlines
- Have an excellent telephone manner
- Be proficient in using computers and online systems
- Have the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Work from anywhere
